Lisa Murkowski has served as Senator from Alaska since 2002, and as Alaska’s Senior Senator since 2009. She is the first Alaskan born Senator. Prior to her service in the Senate, Murkowski served in the State House, rising to the position of House Majority Leader. Murkowski has served as Chair of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee since January 3, 2025. She is a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Ranking Member of the Interior-Environment Subcommittee, and serves on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee. She served as Chair of the Senate Energy Committee from 2015-2021.

Dan Sullivan was sworn in as Alaska’s eighth United States Senator on January 6, 2015. Prior to his election, Sullivan served as the Alaska Department of Natural Resources Commissioner from 2010 to 2013, and as the Alaska Attorney General from 2009 to 2010. He serves on the Senate Committee on Armed Services, on which he serves as Chair of the Readiness and Management Support subcommittee, the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, and the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs. Sullivan also currently serves as the Chairman of the International Republican Institute.

Alaska’s newest member of Congress, Nick Begich III began his Congressional career on January 3, 2025. Before his election, Begich worked in the software industry and as a political activist. Begich serves on the House Committee on Natural Resources, on which he serves as Vice Chair of Energy & Mineral Resources, the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, and the House Committee on Science, Space & Technology. He has joined the Croatian Caucus, the Republican Study Committee, the Pacific Islands Caucus, the Native American Caucus, the Western Caucus, and the DOGE Caucus.
